I know it's not a thyroid specific question. Does the risk increase when you have one or more autoimmune diseases?

Anecdotally I remember someone reading me the side effects of one of the drugs they took for rheumatoid arthritis as they found they had odd side effects since taken the drug which were listed on the patient information leaflet. Anyway the side effects included rare cancers. In other words the drugs may actually be the issue but without taking the drugs you risk being seriously ill/dead.

Hi, not sure about the risk increasing, but the ways in which you help prevent autoimmune diseases - healing the gut, decreasing toxicity, eating less processed food and so on, will also help to reduce the risk of cancer.
