What symptoms do you have?

What are your blood test results, including ranges?

I think you might do well to post on the (HU) PAS (Pernicious Anaemia Society) forum - go to 'My Communities' above, just to the right of your name and avatar, and select the PAS forum.

Yes, Lizzie, it's quite common and you may be deficient in a lot of nutrients. It's starts with a sluggish digestion, not enough acid to break up the food. You could start taking Betaine HCL and digestive enzymes with food. You are going to start supplements, right? Get a methyl B12, a D3 with K2, methylfolate and a B vitamin complex. Sometimes extra B1, thiamine can be helpful.

So common and tends to go hand in hand with thyroid disorders especially Hashimotos

Have you had your thyroid antibodies tested?

If you can post your latest bloods on here then people can advise.

You definitely need to supplement and get all levels to optimum to start feeling well. B12 over 600 and vitamin D around 60 ideally. Iron 65-166 micrograms/dl

Be careful not to over supplement iron and vitamin d but B12 any excess just gets peed out.

Are you on thyroid meds?

TSH under 1 is ideal.

Hopefully once you get your vitamins sorted you'll feel much better.

Post your blood results then we can better advise.

Without ranges it's difficult. Great news re no antibodies though as means you don't have Hashimotos which is Auto Immune 👍🏼

What is your TSH do you know?

Don't no,wat do u mean IV no auto immune,is that bad, weakness worse again had doc out but no change anything, worried bout my heart as had distolic bld pressure reading twice

No auto immune is really good!

If you take a picture of your blood results and post on here in a new post so others can see results too we can better advise.

Viral infections can affect platelets.

Try not to overly worry, you sound like you might be quite anxious and anxiety can cause a whole host of horrible symptoms.

Post your results then the clever ones will see.x

Sorry, I suffered terribly from anxiety when I was younger and it made me very ill, defs not belittling it.

Low iron will make you so unwell why have they never treated?!I'd say get your Folate, Ferritin, Vit d & b12 all up to optimumand you may feel a lot better.

Good idea to see a haematologist.

Good luck

I take iron supplements with fruit as vitamin C enhances absorption. It's important to take it away from foods that will clash, so leave a few hours between this & eating anything else.

Ask your GP for vitamin D3, cholecalciferol. This is best absorbed with fatty food, so I take mine with kefir, seeds & nuts.

My B12 was at the bottom of the range, so I bought 5,000mcg of sublingual methylcobalamin, & was at the top of the range a month later.

Lots of foods contain folate. I try to eat green veg, oranges or grapefruits, & lentils every day.

I take water only with my thyroid meds, & wait a few hours befor eating anything. I don't take any supplements within 4 hours, especially vitamin D.
