Effect of virus on thyroid tests?

Hi everyone,

At the moment I have had virus for 3 weeks, trouble with my thyroid levels and am b12 deficient. Feeling worse new symptoms since yesterday tight throat thyroid area feels swollen and have a terrible thirst.

I know most of this can be due to the virus so my question is, will I be wasting my money on thyroid testing until the virus is gone or could this be thyroid causing these symptoms. Husband has virus but not the throat problems.
