Hey all, new here and just looking for support. Diagnosed last summer after having my son with thyroiditis and pernicious anaemia. Was started on Levo 50mcg and b12 jags. Since then I have felt no better I'm beyond exhausted I only work 2 days a week but they are 12 hour shifts and I'm struggling with that. The days I have with my kids I feel a failure as Ive no energy/ motivation to do things. I have increasing joint pain which is new in my hips and knees. I am currently laid in bed with a flu type illness which keeps recurring every 6 weeks or so. My gp has decided to test my t3 but unable to get bloods taken for a few weeks due to surgery being busy. Is this life now?

50mcg is a starter dose, its likely you need an increase. If your lab results are ready there should be nothing keeping them from giving them to you, there's no amount of "business" that can interfere with them sending over some results. Please get them and post them here so we can help. If you have your B12 results also vit D, folate, iron, ferritin please post those too along with thyroid results.
Often thyroid patients are not fully treated by their GPs, if your medication and vitamin/mineral levels aren't completely optimal you will be left with symptoms so it's important that is corrected. This community is always here to help
Ah ok! Sorry I misread that you already had taken the blood tests.
In the meantime if I may just ask, do you make sure to take your levo a full
hour before eating? And you only take it with a full glass of water? Taking it with food or drinking coffee or juices with it can lower absorption. (Some doctors forget to mention this)
That's a personal preference thing. Some people say they feel better if they take it a night, seems to help with sleep issues like insomnia. I prefer first thing in the morning myself.
Whats most important is that you don't eat 2 hours before OR 1 hour after taking them. (For me it's harder to ensure I haven't eaten 2 hours before going to bed, or remembering to take my pill before I fall asleep.)
Taking it on an empty stomach with just water (full glass) will ensure maximum absorption. I've heard of some people taking it with their coffee and breakfast and therefore requiring huge doses of levo, when they change their habit their doses were often cut in half or less.
Also keeping a steady habit will help you find a steady dose so your body is always absorbing the same amount every day.
