Hi guys, is this normal or should I get it checked by my gp? I was diagnosis with high thyroid in January, but later I went for another blood test in march and it was normal again, I have an appointment tomorrow, but I just wanna make sure.

Welcome to our forum.

When you get a blood test for your thyroid hormones, it should be the very earliest possible (fasting but you can drink water) and if you were taking replacement hormones you'd allow a 24 hour gap between last dose and test and take it afterwards.

Can you get a print-out of your last blood tests with the ranges, so that members can respond.

Or ask your GP if you can have a full thyroid blood test, i.e. TSH, T4, T3, Free T4, Free T3 and thyroid antibodies. She or the lab may not do so if your TSH is in range but you can get those the GP/lab wont do privately and we have recommended labs.

Ask GP to do B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate as we can be deficient which also can cause symtpoms.

Always get a print-out of your blood test results with the ranges.

High thyroid antibodies TPA

High Thyroid stimulating hormone TSH

Not sure what you mean by high thyroid.

If you have a dwelling in your neck you may have Graves disease

You need to find a local support group because there is no way your doctor will give you the best outcome. You need to learn about your condition and manage it.

Where about some are you in the country?

Can you post your blood results (with ranges) then we'll have a better idea. Your Drs will print you out a copy, just ask secretary.

You need your antibodies tested for Hashi's. If your doctor will agree. Having Hashi's can give you a goitre, plus you have the circling rings on your neck that usually spell out hypo. I expect it was your TSH that was high, then low, wasn't it? That's all doctors normally test. And a swinging TSH can be indicative of Hashi's.

It looks a little too enlarged to me. Was your TSH .01 when last tested? This site has lots of information and this page shows a link for several of your problems.
