Normally the reference ranges are shown in brackets or they are with my GP, why are there black markings after the results?

Andypandy30,

Contact your practice manager or contact the lab to ask for the ranges.

Im sorry i dont know why but then again i havent seen results shown in this way before either! Clutter has suggested contacting the Practice Manager, i think thats good advice and go from there...

Folate is too low. Are you getting a supplement for that as well as B12? I'd expect the ranges to be where the black marker is.

Apparently some people feel worse after their first few injections of B12 (maybe head over to the PA forum)

You need a good B Complex.

Has your Vit D been tested?

Hi thanks for reply . I didn't realise this I will have a look at pa site . No they wouldn't do vit d and I really wanted that one . So will pay privately or should I go ahead and supplement .? Why do I need a b complex when I'm getting injections? And do I need to take folate supplement also . I'm prepared to try anything . I think my tsh is too low also .

B Complex contains all the B vitamins - which need to be in balance. Also B12 works with B9 in the body. B9 is Folic Acid. Thorne Research B Complex is a good one.

Think we have discussed this before 😊😊

Thank you Marz I was worried to start them as I wanted to see how injections went . So stopped b12 supplements and realise the importance of taking the b complex e alongside the injections now X

I think you should test your Vit D before supplementing, it will let you know if you need to and also how much to supplement. No good taking a supplement which is either too high or too low for your needs.
