Endo Appt Tomorrow Morning

So how bad would it be if I had coffee with half and half and sugar before my appointment? I haven't been prescribed thyroxine or anything yet. Dr's office didn't say to fast... what would coffee do to my test results?

Hi - don't do it! Water only. Anything else will tend to lower your TSH and if you are looking for a diagnosis you really don't want that.

Well my problem is actually that TSH and FT4 are both at the bottom of the range. I still can't have the coffee, huh? LOL... damn I'm such an addict. Really struggling with this, this morning!

Oh, and my appointment is at 9:45, which was the earliest I could get. Waited more than s month for it too.

If they are both low (and FT3 is low) it could be central/secondary hypo and you need an endo referral for that as GPs don't usually know about it.
