Groiter & hasimoto ???

Hi ..2014. I had to have my whole thyroid out due to cancer/groiter...

Read that hasimoto (sorry spelling!!)can cause this... So thinking out loud ??

I did not have any symptoms prior to this so have no bloods leading up to see the cause ..been left hypothyroidism but wonder if because I have pass groiter that I could have hasimoto...???

I don't think Hashimoto's causes thyCa. I had Hashimoto's and had a radical thyroidectomy because I had ThyCa and without a thyroid gland to attack Hashimoto's has burned out. I no longer have any thyroid antibodies.
