Sweet cravings out of control

Is there any connection between carabiners for sugar and hashimotos? I don't remember ever 'needing' a sugar Fix like I have done this past year and a half. I want to cut it out altogether but it feels like the puckmeup I crave sometimes.

My Sugar cravings went crazy when I had Candida/dysbiosis which are both linked to autoimmune disease. Its worth getting that checked. xx

Hi, I also had sugar cravings for about a year but now have gestational diabetes and I am insulin resistant and convinced it's linked. Apparently the same receptor cells for T3 are the same as those that use insulin and sometimes they close the door, that's why hypo people often find it difficult to lose weight. So insulin resistance is really closely linked with thyroid disorders. I am afraid it's an all out sugar ban and go for sugar alternatives to get it sorted. Also cutting down on carbs that convert to sugar in the body. May be worth you requesting a glucose tolerance test from your GP or a blood test to rule out diabetes but insulin resistance happens a long time before diabetes x

Lots of info on the web about link between Hashimoto's & candida - which comes first is debatable

Yes I think candida just breeds off our sugar levels, also being generally low thyroid wise heightens it also. It can be a bit of a vicious circle really.

The doctor I saw after being diagnosed (he is a gp and practices traditional Chinese medicine) said I was craving carbs because my energy was so low.

Steni I have Hashi's and my sugar cravings pretty much go away after I do a parasite cleanse. I do one every 9-12 months. The sugar cravings returning is what reminds me that I am due for a cleanse.

If you have ever owned or been around an animal there is a 90+% chance that you have parasites. I order my kit on line. It's made by Renew Life called ParaSmart. It's super easy. 15 day program. You'll be amazed!!
