Hi all! Sorry if some of this doesn't make sense or if the infomation i give is unhelpful, i've only recently been made aware of all the different things that can affect your thyroid function and i'm still trying to make sense of it all and how it might affect me.
I'm 25, and was diagnosed with ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) / CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), Depression and Anxiety at the age of 12/13. I've had verious blood tests over the years ( what they all were i'm not sure ) and apparently my Thyroid levels have always been borderline ( which levels i'm not sure ) and it wasn't until i was 21/22 that the Doctor started prescribing me Levothyroxine, which has gradually been increased to 125mg which is what i'm on now. My tiredness, depression and anxieties have gone up and down over the years, but i've definitely never felt "normal". I assumed my Thyroid issue had been dealt with and was in control with my Doctor and my symptoms were still just due to my ME/CFS. But now i've read into it and been made aware of things like T3 and other deficiencies that can effect the Thyroid, i'm starting to think i need to look into it more. So i've got an appointment with my Doctor in just over a week, so my question really is what shell i ask her? What tests do you suggest i have to best judge/help my Thyroid function? Plus any other advice? Thank you for taking the time to read this, if you need any extra info like what other tablets do i take, my lifestyle, other symptoms etc to better help answer my question, please just ask. Thank you! I hope this all makes sense! =)
