Chest pain

For the last 3 days I have had pain in the right side of my chest then going into my armpit. Last night and tonight my right arm has felt a bit numb and throbbing. The chest pain seams to have gone. I upped my dose of lethrothyroxine on Monday so not sure if this could be the course. Not sure if I should see the dr tomorrow or see how it goes.

My GP practice advises patients with chest pain to go straight to A&E for an ECG.

I don't think I need to go to A&E as I have had it 3 days now. They can do an ECG at my doctors surgery so will give them a ring in the morning.

My husband had pain for several days, thought he had pulled a muscle, GP sent him straight to A&E, he'd had a silent heart attack and needed 2 stents.

Always better to check it out.

PS, ECG at the hospital didn't pick it up, blood test did.

It may be something as simple as a trapped nerve, but any chest pain should be treated seriously. Do see your doctor as soon as possible.

As others have mentioned please see your G.P i was having chest pain just before xmas went to A&E ECG was normal as where blood tests but i have been refered for a Cardio Angiogram they are going to check to see if i have any narrowing or blockages in the Arteries. Its always best to get checked out .

I walked into my GP tonight for advice as the pain woke me up this morning. The saw me straight away and put me on an ecg machine straight away. All my obs were normal so got to go back on Monday if it's not better x
