My serum free T3 is 3.7 (range 3.5-6.5) I understand this is why I'm struggling to lose weight, is it possible to get meds on the NHS to treat or improve my levels. Thanks in advance

T3 and weight gain
Tldg45,
Are you taking Levothyroxine?
Yes 100 mcg
Tldg45,
You're under medicated and that will make it impossible to lose weight. The goal of Levothyroxine is to restore the patient to euthyroid status. For most patients that will be when TSH is 1.0 or lower with FT4 in the upper range. FT4 needs to be in the upper range in order that sufficient T3 is converted. Read Treatment Options in thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_... Email louise.roberts@thyroiduk.org.uk if you would like a copy of the Pulse article to show your GP.
Tldg45 T3 can't be prescribed by your GP, an endo would first have to prescribe it if he thought you needed it, and then your GP would have to take over. It's very difficult to get T3 on the NHS at all and many patients are finding their CCGs are taking it away from them due to cost.
However, from your previous thread you are not showing a need for T3. What you do need is an increase in your Levo because both FT4 and FT3 are low in range and TSH too high.
That is assuming you are on Levo, I can't see anywhere you've said if you are or what dose.
Don't make the mistake of thinking about taking T3 just for weight loss.
There's no information on your Profile and I don't know if you've been diagnosed as hypothyroid and are you on levothyroxine.
I have got an under active thyroid and I'm currently taking 100 levo daily, bloods are
