Does anyone else have tinnitus? Have Hashimoto's and was diagnosed in October 2015 and noticed the tinnitus about March time.

Could it be B12 ? What is your level ?

B12 was 287 when I got Blue Horizon tests done in August, been taking Jarrow 5000mg daily since then.

OK - so anything below 500 can present with neurological symptoms - which of course Tinnitus is. Only 20% of your last B12 result is available to be utilised at a cellular level where the B12 is needed. The test only indicates what is in the blood - both bound and unbound B12.

Are you taking a GOOD B Complex with the B12 from Jarrow ??

Do go to the PAS website - there you will read about the 1000 sufferers were asked what was the most difficult symptom they had to cope with - and almost 100% stated Tinnitus. B12 DEFICIENCY is a neurological condition and NOT a vitamin deficiency.

Have you read the book - Could it Be B12 ? - by Sally Pacholok ? Every home should have a copy - says me in my non medical opinion :-)

I had really terrible tinnitus (among a miriad of other symptoms) earlier this year when the Levo I was taking stopped working. Now I am on NDT, the tinnitus has gone.

Levothyroxine does seem to be working, I feel loads better. It was increased to 100mg a few months ago and had a couple of blood tests since then (only TSH and T4 on the NHS), latest a month or so ago TSH 0.05 and T4 15 which I did query was a bit low.

Scazzoh,

NDT helped eliminate my tinnitus too ... amazing.

Tinnitus reappears if I get very tired or stressed.

I have gone through life for years with a steam train in my head, never stops. Now 18 months on NDT it hasn't gone completely but I really have to stop and listen for it. Sleeping better has well and I think now on day 4!
