Hiya , after 2 different eye hospitals and Drs trips , my new fantastic endo as finally diagnosed me with ted , I was wondering if there are any support groups out there as I would like to meet up with people with it as it's something that I have had a very long time but never knew what it was till now

Hi Christina, I ended up in Moorfields A&E after waking with bloodshot, sore eyes and distorted vision been told I have early onset TED. Did they say why you have it?

No , I've had been under active for ove 20 years but been suffering bad with dry eyes and fuzziness close up but two hospital visits nev r picked it up , I got swelling to me optical nerve and they still didn't pick up on it , it was only by chance I mentioned it to me endo that she knew

Brilliant! Glad she knew I've been dx with dry eyes as well but TED was only picked up when I mentioned all my thyroid related issues

I don't have redness or bulging eyes , I have. A srange blurry vision and when I rub them it goes and it's horrible , and these dry all the time , what do u take for them ?

My eyes have been declining since last yr my vision would suddenly blur or I couldn't see straight was told my astigmatism has worsened and to wear my glasses at all times then suddenly they were sore and bloodshot. I don't have the bulge either thankfully and just been given drops.

Is you're thyroid optimal?

Hiya , yes I'm at optimal dose but still neve feel well but my eyes are my main problem now as they affect me every min or every day

Hmmm interesting as we're led to believe we only get such complications when far from optimal- like me lol
