Many members need to medicate enough thyroid hormone replacement to lower their TSH below range, in order to function and feel well.

You need FT4 & FT3 to be tested as well, in order to get a clearer picture of your thyroid function.

Thyroid meds can be hindered by iron and nutrient deficiencies. If you haven't had ferritin, Vit B12, folate and Vit D recently tested, ask your GP to do so and post results complete with ranges (numbers in brackets).

I had my parent tested in August and they said it was fine I also take 50000 units of vitamin D once a week as for the vitamin B12 I'm supposed to be doing one shot once a month

Theresa72 It depends on what your FT4 and FT3 are and how you feel. If you are on thyroid meds the TSH is really irrelevant, it's FT3 that is the important test but rarely done.

Impossible to say what *they* would do. If you have them tested then post the results, with reference ranges, and members can suggest what *should* be done.

Depends if you are already on thyroxine of any sort TSH is irrelevent.
