hey guys,

I managed to get my ndt to 1 1/4 grain and felt fine for 3 days. No bloating, fatigue gone, no swolen face. then run out of pills for 5 days as since back on 1 grain I feel worse . increased to 1 and 1/4 but still back to swollen, puffy, bloated , apathy, fatigue.. What should I do??

Just stay on this dose for about two weeks. Chopping/changing doesn't do us any favours.

Katka,

When you ran out of NDT and your body swelled up, it was reacting to the sudden withdrawal of T3. Carry on with 1.25 grains and see how you feel in a few days.

Starting and stopping will further compromise the adrenals glands as they struggle to help maintain thyroid hormone levels. It will also encourage conversion of T4 to RT3.

You will need to blood test after six weeks to see exactly where you are. Post results complete with ranges (numbers in brackets) for members to comment.

I see. Thank you.

Running out has completely messed me up. Also as I were running out I started working out. I didn't realise that further depletes me T3. I'm still very swollen. Do you think I should increase in 2weeks by another 1/4 if I feel OK? Is this better for my body or stay longer on current dose? Today I had more energy but still like a balloon. Didn't feel fatigued today so maybe it's getting better.

Thank you

Katka,

If you feel ok, then you should increase slowly to your optimal dose.

Where are you heading with this ? ? ... You haven't posted any thyroid hormone T3 test results.

If this is your first time medicating T3 you need to increase low and slow. If you have previously reached an optimal dose and feel ok, I would be inclined to increase dose asap to achieve that amount again.

Optimal thyroid hormone will make you feel better quicker. Are you supporting your adrenals ? ?

Sorry I've not posted my results on here. I had them done in August. TSH was around 4 and T3 very low, very bottom line on range. So i know I'm low and need to raise. Ice been on Armour almost 2 months and been raising slowly. As too fast I get palpitations. My doc says I'm doing the right thing just this running out messed me up. Now again on 1 and 1/4. I need to raise again soon. I don't think I've ever reached optimal dose as it's only been 1 and 1/4 and even though it was the beat to the date it wasn't optimal. I were just getting there. I had high cortisol but, when down a little but who knows what it's like now since I swell up. I'm supporting adrenals. But maybe need to do a better job. Take ashwagandha rhodiola, vitamin C and B complex and all that. Just can't meditation as I fall asleep haha. Also try to eat well but often happen to go to hypoglycaemia unfortunately. Like o have to eat almost every 2 hours. Its crazy
