Hi, I am new on this site, please can any one advise me if they have ever had a consultation or seeing Dr. Chantal Kong in Spire hospital as I am making an appointment with her.
I am getting fed up being fobbed off by my go.
Or can recommend any one good in Bedfordshire or near
Thank you

Sad to say that seeing a doctor privately often makes no difference. They all have the same training. Private prescriptions are expensive so much so that you may find buying it yourself is cheaper.
Save your money and ask questions on here (Thyroid Uk) Borntorun1960.
Thyroid Uk members have helped my family and myself to get well again, if we had relied on Doctors we would all still be ill.
Idea only - do another post up with questions about yourself and what you need to know and members will help you forward.
Hi there, I'm in Bedfordshire near Biggleswade. I don't know of the Doctor you mention but someone else recommended a consultant in London from a post I put up. I went to see him on 1st September and felt I had a very successful appointment. Can send you details by PM if you'd like them. Whereabouts in Beds are you?
Ah, not far away from me at all. I have a friend who lives in Toddington too who also has a thyroid problem. I will send the info by private message. Are you OK with accessing the private messages? There will be a little '1' at the top of your screen next to your site name when the message arrives and if you click on it, it will open the private message (known as a PM)
Apologies if I'm telling you something you already know
Hi Georgina, thank you so much that would be amazing, my daughter has just shown me how to use the private messages haha, so will be able to see it now when you send it over, i am a little bit dippy! X
You're not dippy at all, it took me a while to fathom the difference between how to post publicly and how to post privately. I've sent the PM so you should have it now
I started feeling unwell about 7 years ago, I kept going to the doctors feeling so drained and all the horrible symptons you get with an underactive thyroid.
They kept trying to give me Prozac!
I wasn't depressed just really drained and I found it hard to hold my head up and hair thiniing
bulging eyes thick neck and all sorts of horrible breathing problems.
I thought it was the menopause.
Then about 2 years ago I had a fasting blood test and it was then they said I had it.
I took 50 gems of Levo and at first I felt really good but it did not last
too long and I went down hill again.
Then I went to see Dr Peatfield who was amazing.
I could not afford Armour and my doctor said no to it.
He suggested nutri and some adrenal pills as he said my adrenals were not working right on the basal test he did.
I have stayed on this 6 tabs of nutri and the nax and now I'm taking 20 mg of t3 but I still feel like I'm getting worse.
But my menopause is kicking in now and periods are getting sparser now.
I've been out for 5 hours with my dog feeling good in this sun but another dog has ran into me and knocked me off my feet so I now have a sprained ankle lol!!
Have to keep smiling.
Any way Poldark is on tonight so I'm happy!
I shall let you know how I'm getting on as soon as I can get some help.
