Overdiagnosing thyroid cancer?
I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and advised TT told I had no symptoms but would be OK on a tablet a day thereafter. I went along with it, out of fear, maybe? Glad I did.
I had been having symptoms prior and had consulted a few times, nothing the docs gave helped me. No blood test by the way, another wingeing woman !!
My symptoms: Last winter with temps low outside would find me sleepless, the overhead fan on full blast spreadeagled on the bed. Constipation, big time, flaking out if I tried to walk more than half a mile, anxious, bloated tum. Couldn't read or watch tv because my eyes hurt. There was more but I'm sure you guys know most of them.
None of this I or the docs attributed it to anything let alone the thyroid.
Things aren't perfect ,by any means now, but I can report that life has been a lot easier than previously described . By the way it had been at least a a few years like this.
So I am a little sceptical when reading such a report and wonder just how the conclusions are reached. Listening and hearing is a special ability, never found a doctor that good!!
