My vitamin D results
On what ?
My results on bloods I will write now as they wont upload thanks
My TSH level is 0.73 mU/L(0.27-130) my serum ferritin 19ug/L(15-300) My vit D is 71 Nmol /L also sages serum c protein level 6mg/L (5) "high " I take 100 levothyroxine daily feeling dreadful also get b12 injections the weakness is unbearable I feel as if I've been batterd no energy at all
Sorry to be a pain... but these results really would be better off in a new thread, where more people will see them. If you could write each one on a separate line, it would be clearer for people to read.
I think your ferritin is dire, but I'm not a ferritin expert, so best to repost and get a larger selection of comments.
It is often stated on this forum that Levo rarely works well when Ferritin and other vitals are low. Yours is VERY LOW and should be treated.
I suggest having the anti-bodies tested too. Are you taking a good B Complex to keep all the B's in balance ? How often do you have B12 injections ? Maybe you need them more often.
You also need the T4 and T3 tested. Am thinking your T3 will be very low. Do you have PA ?
I would but I can't see them. If you can't attach a picture just write the results out.
Hi my name is Sara, I've just joined the group. My Vit d levels are low. I am having a blood test in 4 wks to see if my calcium levels are high too. My doc has given me a high dose of Vit d tablet to take (1 a wk). I'm concerned as if my calcium is high then the last thing I should be doing is taking more Vit d. The body switches off the Vit d in the body to stop calcuim absorption in the gut. Low Vit d and high calcium is an indication that you have tumours on your pathathyroid glands. The tumour sucks the calcium out of your bones causing levels to go up in the blood. Too much calcium in the blood can cause a stroke. The Vit d is converted in the kidneys from Vit d 25 to Vit d 25 1 . High calcium can cause stones in the kidneys too.. I feel my doc should have tested me for calcium before prescribing me with high labels of Vit D meds. I spoke to her on the phone and she said low vid can be caused by our uk winters and sun block. Also not going out enough. Has anyone else had these problems. Also my pulse before a recent gall bladder txt was only 46. Doc said I was hypo. I have chronic fatigue sweats achey joints pain down my thigh bones and hips. Arthritis in my hand, triggers finger in both hands, dress Angina, palpitations, anxiety attacks, no libido, lichen sclerosis, Headaches, nausea, vertigo, deafness in one ear, allergies, clunking pain and grinding in my back and neck when I walk. Fybermyalgia, constipation, and a hiatus hernia. Terrible reflux Chronic cramps, Wheat and gluten intolerance, sugar intolerance, bloated belly, weight gain, difficulties losing weight. In fact I put 4lbs on while dieting and found out my TSH levels had gone from 2 to 6.5 so levothyroxine has been increased from 100 mg to 125 g . I still feel awful. No energy at all and sleep a lot. Especially after exertion.
