Does anyone manage to get 5mcg Cytomel prescribed and imported on the NHS? I'm sick of chopping up my Mercury pharma T3

Your GP (if willing) can prescribe for you on a 'named-patient' basis. That means he will have to take full responsibility if you have any reaction (which is not very likely I believe). This is a link:-

I paid to have it imported about 3 years ago but it cost me about £600 ....

I've been prescribed these for several years now as I was taking them in several split doses. However, I got a call from my GP last week saying they would have to put me on 20mcg tablets as the 5mcg as too expensive at over £600 per prescription. This is ok for me as I now take my 40mcg per day as two split doses although I haven't tried the new ones yet (I pick up my prescription today). I hope they suit.
