I am not advertising. This information regarding Hashi is posted by Suzy Cohen and everybody can have an access to. I am not selling anything.

I don't recognise spammy pages but read it, you may find it interesting especially the video where she addresses autoimmunity.

Admin comment:

This post does not conform to guideline 13.

13. If you post a link, please at least explain briefly what people can expect to find if they follow the link. Links without such an introduction/explanation may be deleted.

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Furthermore, you may not intentionally be spamming, and may have nothing to gain, but the entire site is an advertisement. Suzy Cohen is not doing all this for our benefit, but because she makes money out of it.

Please edit your post to make it conform to guideline 13 or it will be removed.

Please give some deep thought about whether links you post are indeed to useful information or to advertising.

really interesting. Sadly it doesn't look like you can get Hashi script in the UK :(

Interesting but agree with Helvella. Also its annoying seeing US ads on a UK site.

I used to like the Suzy Cohen website. It was designed more like a blog than a retail website and some of the articles were interesting (although you did have to mentally remove the more obvious advertising). But it has been redesigned recently, obviously with the intention of improving her sales. But her articles have been relegated to a less prominent role as a result. :(

Although it is commercial, I find it kind of interesting. There is some info about Hashi's there which could be useful. I just think it would have been courteous if 007999 had provided a summary so people could decide in advance, if they wanted to spend their time on a very long page.

Yes it is a very typical American style sales page, shame because it does contain some interesting stuff but I'd rather have proper facts & ideas not so much sales talk.

I used to own a franchise & the franchisor was very enamoured of the 'American' sales techniques but the British franchisees resisted because we didn't feel it worked well here :)

Why is does much of the active Thyroid research and alternative treatment seem to happen in the US?

As soon as I see a page that is three miles long, I just KNOW it is a sales spiel in the USA mould. (Unfairly perhaps, I automatically assume it is that because of past experience.) Then close it.

One of the reasons for this approach seems to be so that search engines will find so many words to hit - and all will lead to that one huge page.

My guess is that there are enough patients in the USA with enough private money to demand better treatment, and that makes the alternative treatment market profitable. It would be naive to claim it is because of medical Good Samaritans. 😟

You may be right Eddie83, in fact, much as I value the NHS that may be one of the most positive arguments for a private healthcare system (not that it helps those without money much!)

... except that there is even ignorance among a portion of the docs who charge long private-pay fees.
