Reasons for TSH Suppression (Other than Hyperthyroid)

Hi everyone, Is there any reason that leads to TSH Suppression other than over production of thyroid or supplementing T4/T3?

Before I start my treatment I have TSH that is <0.1. I'm not sure yet it is pituitary dysfunction or something else! I was taking Vit D only! The doctor measured TSH after one month and still was suppressed.

My T4/T3 were normal or a bit low normal when TSH was suppressed now it is always supressed with levothyroxine supplemention.

Have you ever had a head injury, may be as long ago as 20 to 30 years? I do not produce any TSH and I have been told that it was as a result of a head injury 25 years ago where I blacked out and split the back of my head open on the floor. The resultant shock wave went right through my head, producing massive black eyes and causing a basal skull fracture and has almost certainly damaged my pituitary. However its taken all that time to slowly become apparent that I have done a large amount of damage to my brain.

Its taken years to get the right treatment as not many Endo or GP know how to treat when the TSH does not work properly. I take T3 only as T4 would only convert to Reverse T3 in the presence of a very low TSH, and this would make you very hypo while your TSH blood levels make you look hyper!

Question, what are the levels of t4/t3 before and after medication with t3?

I dont have any blood tests these days as we know my TSH is always zero, as is also my T4 now as I haven't taken any T4 for about 6 years. The T3 levels are so variable that its not really worth trying to test as its so dependent on what I have done and as I take the medication in regular amounts throughout the day, that doesn't make any sense either. Its so long since I took T4 I can't remember what the levels were but I was close to going into a myxoedema coma. The damage done by trying to force me to take T4 has damaged my brain further and I now have Hypothyroidal Dementia. However I had my diagnosis over 10 years ago and I'm doing quite well as long as they don't try and take the T3 off me again!
