Hi I have been taking elleste duet 1mg for the past year and now want to stop. How do I do it? Can I simply cease or do I need to taper off? I have one more pack (28 tabs). I can't find any information in my leaf. Any help would be great thanks.

I was taking this HRT too and stopped a month ago. I tapered off, one every other day for a week, then 1 every 2 days for another week. Started getting some hot flushes so just stopped taking them. If in doubt go back to your GP and ask them. Good Luck. 👍

Hi, it has to be said that I just stopped but that's me, I decided to do so and did. I think I read somewhere it is better to taper down. Sorry, not a lot of help.

Just studying at moment and come across med articles stating women should be advised not to take it because of high risk of breast cancer - this was in 2003! The risk stops once you stop taking it.

Look at perhaps a preparation from a company like Viridian or Biocare, both good supplement companies. I've just gone cold turkey- although more like cooked turkey sometimes.....
