Hi, we are off to Crete today on a long awaited family holiday. I am self medicated so obviously don't have a prescription for my NDT and t3. I am wondering if it's ok to carry this medication? If anyone has travelled abroard self medicated? They are sorted into a pill container for the 2 weeks but just a little worried about having them confiscated.
I live in Crete and there are Pharmacies on every corner selling T3 for around a euro. You do not need a prescription - so stock up and enjoy your holiday. Where are you staying ? I live on the Apokoronas .....
Hi Marz, I'm going to Maleme near Chania next Tuesday, on my own too! Am planning to buy t3 too when I'm there, should I just show the pharmacist an old packet? I assume that I need to put them in my suitcase rather than hand luggage on my return to the UK? I don't think the UK customs would like it.
...... sorry for the delay - have been to Chania ! - near to where you will be staying and where there are 64 Pharmacies ! - as well as the same number of shoe shops !! Yes showing them an old packet of T3 will be fine - is it Uni-Pharma ? Pop them in your main luggage on your return. You can also buy your B12 and syringes if you need them - have just re-stocked this morning ..... Enjoy your trip
Hi sorry for the delay in reply but was travelling. We are in Agios Nikolaos. It's so beautiful. We love Greece you are so lucky to live here. Had no problems at all bringing my meds in. I do get uni pharma anyway ironically.
