Hello
I am currently taking 150mg levo and 12.5mcg liothyronine daily in the morning - normal dose is 200mcg of levo daily?
Does this sound right? Only thing I have noticed is feeling very cold?

Juliarees82,
My suggestion 3 days ago was to add 6.25mcg T3 to 200mcg Levothyroxine (T4).
You've replaced 50mcg T4 with 12.5mcg T3 which is equivalent to 37.5mcg T4. It takes 7-8 days for the higher dose to wash out so it is unlikely you are experiencing hypo cold, the weather IS cold.
I found it extremely difficult to cut into 4 - so thought id try it that way?
Juliarees82,
Buy a pillcutter from any high street pharmacy because you will need to be able to quarter the tablet to fine tune and tweak your dose.
If you didn't feel well on 200mcg T4 I don't see why you will feel better when you've essentially reduced dose. I would increase T4 dose to 175mcg and stay with 12.5mcg T3 as you don't appear to have had any adverse effects.

juliarees82 I agree with Clutter about the pill cutter. I have this one which I bought from my local Rowlands Pharmacy amazon.co.uk/Safe-Sound-Pil... . As long as you're careful, place the pill in the V-shape, use a light touch when bringing the blade down, then put half the pill back in the V-shape, round part of the pill to the narrow end of the V, bring blade down lightly again, and blow away any powder which collects, you should have no trouble. l've been doing this for months, never wasted a pill, always get 4 quarters, maybe not always exact but near enough.
