Vivienneferreira,

Your hypothyroid symptoms have probably got worse while you were absorbing the extra dose. It takes 7-10 days to absorb so you'll only just start getting the benefit now and it will take up to six weeks from the dose increase for symptoms to improve.

Thanks so I shouldn't panic then I was suprised as it was worse than when I got used to the 50 dose

Vivienneerreira,

No need to panic. You should have a follow up thyroid test 6 weeks after the dose increase and if you are still achy ask your GP to check ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate.

I have a test booked for 6 weeks , my ferritin vit d and 12 were good my folate was on the low level so I'm takin a b supplement, I didn't have as many aches before increasing the dose

Vivienneferreira,

Give it another couple of weeks and the aches and pains may resolve. I assume you haven't changed brand?
