Yep Ive found one has to sort ones own thyroid out as docs are not clued up an seem disinterested in referring one to endocrine specialist. My abnormal results were ignored (luckily i always insist on copies of my results) i upped my own meds and the aching, swelling an nodules in my neck went away

Rozdee,

As endocrine specialists tend to be diabetes rather than thyroid specialists one is not necessarily well served by a referral and self medication can still be necessary.
