Feeling dire, advice please.

So I went to the endocrinologist and it seems I have hashimotos.

I was put on Erfa NDT which I thought would be the answer for me.

I'm 5weeks in and feel dire. I was on 100mcgs Levo which I was doing ok on physically but brain fog was awful and spells of tiredness so I guess I was under medicated.

I started on 60ng of Erfa which I quickly changed to 90 as it was like having narcolepsy!

I am still ridiculously tired, dragging myself around. Sleep by 8.30 pm

Dizzy, eyes won't focus. Brain fog maybe a bit better.

Can I take T4 as well as the Erfa?

Any advice, suggestions?

Thank you.

I don't think there's any point taking levo as well. I would say you probably just need another increase. It is recommended to increase by half a grain every 2 weeks until symptoms subside.

Erfa, along with thyroid S is manufactured to have a longer shelf life. This means your body has to di an extra process to break it down.... I cannot do this and go hypothyroid with Erfa, though i do fine with other brands....

I suspect that thiroyd ahs been reformulated as that no longer suits me either. More info at the end of the artlcle in the link below.

Maybe you should swap brands for a while? I do well with nature throid.
