Any advice please
Hi chloe1994 that is a high TSH level. Did you get tested for T4 and fT3? You really need to have these tested and post the results with ranges before anyone can get any idea of what's happening with you and advise. Some people don't convert T4 to T3 very well and you need to know if this is the case with you. Ferritin, Folate, Vitamins B12 and D also need to be tested, you really need to get these tested asap. Deficient levels affect the absorption of levothyroxine and you need to know what these are, Sorry you're feeling so crap, keep taking the advice and suggestions from here and you will be working towards feeling better. Others will reply
My t4 was 12.8 and t3 was 3.0
Hi chloe1994 . Could you re post with your TSH, T4 and T3, symptoms and medication. People might not see it here as you are replying to your old post. A new post would be more easily seen and you will get more responses. They are both quite low but others can advise much better than I can. Thanks
No wonder your feeling lousy . I self medicate and have done for 4 years with ndt it's not a magic pill but I'm so much better on it . I also take a little t3 both have groups on Facebook . So lots of great info . But you need bloods for iron panel test . B12 . Vit d etc we call them ducks in a row . You can google that and it will explain more . Lastly if you can afford it blue horizon have a sale on their blood tests at mo . And the thyroid plus 12 is the best one to go for . As more detailed and you will get better answers . Hope this helps . Lou
Chloe1994,
Do you take Levothyroxine with water an hour before or 2 hours after food and drink and away from other medication and supplements?
Your GP should do a coeliac screen to rule out gluten-intolerance interfering with absorption of Levothyroxine. Dose should be increased and if TSH doesn't drop your GP should refer you to endocrinology for management.
Email louise.warvill@thyroiduk.org.uk for a list of member recommended endos you can request your GP refers you to.

Chloe, was that the result from when you were diagnosed? Or is that the result after 6 weeks on 175 mcg Levo?
