yesterday i finally got to see a NHS endo was a bit disappointed it didnt go as well as id expected. I mentioned the neck pain id been having which she suggested was due to anxiety rather then the hashimotos/thyroid. She did however order more blood tests which i was due for anyway and now awaiting results.

Do you know which tests were ordered ?

Post them when you have the results and I am sure people will comment and give you good support. Maybe you are under treated and that is causing the neck pain - as the thyroid could be inflamed and slightly swollen. Even a small amount of enlargement can cause discomfort ....

shes ordered TSH, T4 and Tgpo (antibody). she wont do anything else as she used the word 'borderline'.I believe as you said marz it is inflamed as i do know my haemoglobin is slightly out of range. the last time i paid to see an endo who said my teeth cause the problem but id not long had them done so i dont think its that. seems these endos come out with such rubbish.

Will look out for your results. Post them in a NEW post so they are not missed :-)

Stupid woman. Anxiety is a symptom, not a disease. I expect your hypothyroidism is causing both the anxiety and the neck pain.

I was supposed to have been seeing a proffessor (not that there any better) but she was off sick and they sent a registor instead. had i known that i would have cancelled and waited.

It's very off-putting when your doctor is off sick, isn't it. Makes you Wonder... lol

Anyway, the one you did see was a dead lose! Wouldn't test T3 because you were only 'borderline'??? She has no idea what she's talking about!

Not what you're looking for?
