Hi Jayne88 what is 113? TSH?
I don't know that's just hat they gave me and said its normal ?
Ah, sorry you really need to find out what it is before anyone can comment. Ring your surgery, ask them exactly what was tested. You have a right to know, it's your blood
Okay rang them they said tsh 1.13?
Ah I suspected it would be that sounds okay for a TSH reading generally but not much use without T4 and T3 why did you have it tested? have you been diagnosed? Do you have symptoms? Are you on any medication?
They tested it because I've just had a baby 3 months ago, I've lost a stone in 6 weeks have tremor and muscle twitching, I'm on nothing at the moment
Congratulations on your new arrival Were you tested for suspected hyperthyroidism? Sounds like you may have been and then your Dr has decided you are not hyperthyroid. Are you sure you didn't have anything else tested? B12, Vitamin D, Ferritin and folate? Sometimes gp's don't tell you all the tests they order. You could do with calling back the surgery, double checking for T4 and T3 and any other results they may have. Post back on here with the results and ranges in brackets and describe your symptoms. I'm afraid I can't help you any more but I'm sure some one else here will as they are a wise lot. Good luck x
Hi jayne, your adrenal glands control sex hormones and steroids and then have an impact on your thyroid. Maybe you are a bit stressed with a new baby so you are slightly hyperthyroid but you are still over 1.0 so it may all settle down. If it continues and your TSH goes to 0 they can treat that. Try to stay away from things like caffeine that will rev up your metabolism in the meantime.
