Can someone recommend a good vitamin and mineral supplement to take.....thanks in advance x

Do you mean a multi Vit and mineral supplement? They're not a good idea really, they don't give a good amount of anything in particular. The best thing to do is get tested and then supplement with the individual vitamins or minerals that are deficient.

I agree with Susie, multi-vits are a waste of money, you won't get much out of them.

Start with the basics. Get your vit D, vit B12, folate and ferritin tested. Post the results on here and someone will tell you if you even need to supplement.

The supposedly good ones are expensive.

I take iron & D3, which are prescribed, but prefer to spend extra on healthy food than pills. Selenium from brazils, B12 & K2 from kefir, lots of fruit & veg, & nuts, etc.

I like Thorne Basic Nutrients - contains the active forms of various B vitamins, a reasonable dose of D3 and various other things in easy to absorb forms. They do a version without iodine, if you're avoiding that. Bit pricy though!
