My sister received her usual prescription yesterday for 20mcg T3 tabs from the chemist but it only had one 'tablet' in it which was very big. She didn't take it. She queired it today and it was a phial of liothyronine for injection only by a doctor in cases when a patient is nil by mouth for prolonged periods and to treat hypothyroid coma! Hospital use only.

Bear in mind this was a GP prescription or a pharmasist mistake

ffs!!

And they are the professionals!!

A good thing she queried the tablet. It's a big mistake.
