Anyone with Hashi's have Oral Lichen Planus?
I don't but assume you've been given advice how to control. In the meantime this is a link which may be helpful. This is an excerpt:
Despite its exotic-sounding name, lichen planus is actually a common skin condition that can occur on one or several parts of the body. Anyone can develop this condition, which typically shows up as shiny, reddish-purple bumps, says the American Academy of Dermatology.
and as well as other vitamins/mineral - Vit C below.
Take a vitamin C supplement. Not only does vitamin C help strengthen your immune system, but it is also important in promoting healthy skin. The University of Maryland Medical Center suggests taking C supplements several times daily, with meals, to reduce the risk of stomach upset. Talk with your doctor about an appropriate dose of vitamin C.

Self-management:-
Sorry, only just seen your post. I developed Lichen Planus some 10 years after being diagnosed with Hypothyroidism (I am assuming it's Hashimotos). Initially I had it all over my body for around 6 months before it faded.
I didn't get it again on my body, but after that I developed it in my mouth which I still have. In all I have had it around 10 years now. Mostly in my mouth it's under reasonable control except when I am under a lot of stress. I avoid sugar (and gluten) as I think sugar irritates it a lot.
So in my case it was body first and mouth later.
Hi hw7342,
I developed LP on both my inner wrists about 8 years ago, my GP told me it was psoriasis. He prescribed various steroid creams like Dermovate, Betnovate etc as the itch would drive me nuts. It lasted for about 3 years and then suddenly in a matter of a week, it totally disappeared. I was taking Thyroxine then for hypothyroid. In Oct 13 I had a routine dental check up and my dentist said I had the oral form of LP. I came home and could see slight white lines appearing, within a month my mouth was an ulcerated mess and I had a white patch on my gum and under my tongue. I was referred to orals and had a biopsy. They were not helpful in anything for the pain and told me there was no cure but it needed regualr checking. I then found out my wrist rash was the skin form and it was not psoriasis. By January I could not tolerate anything spicy, acidy or citrus. Toothpaste was agony, found Biotene helped. I had a lot of blood tests as my calcium levels were above normal. By June 14 they tested my vitamin D and it was low. I started Fultium 800mcg and as my D increased, my oral symptoms reduced. I do believe low Vitamin D mya be a trigger. I still have OLP but it is much improved. I also found that taking a teaspoon of turmeric powder, warmed in some coconut oil and swilled around my mouth helps settle down any flare ups. I do sympathise and would not wish this on anyone. I use alcohol free mouthwash as well.
Hope it settles soon for you,
Lucy
