Susiebow,

Many people have happily taken Levothyroxine for 10-15 years and suddenly find it is no longer working for them and they become very symptomatic.  I expect many women assume that menopause is why they become unwell.

susiebow, I was on the same dose of Synthroid for 20 years and about a couple of years ago started having all my symptoms again and they really took a turn a year ago.  I also started having what seemed to be allergic reactions but have no idea to what.  Have since had my Synthroid dose increased and T3 added.  Work in progress now.  I've added several supplements to my daily regiment, removed lactose and trying on the gluten.  Also trying to remove as much stress from my daily life as possible.
