What was your T3/T4?
Mateerp do you have the exact number for T4 and T3.
'Normal' is meaningless, there's no such thing when it comes to thyroid. It's just your doctor's opinion, and doctors are very often wrong!
If your TSH is 6.9 then your dose is too low. Assuming you are on thyroid hormone replacement. Or are you just trying to get a diagnosis? We need more detail to be able to help you, please.
I expect your T4 and T3 are right at the bottom of the range, aren't they? And that's not good. That causes symptoms as you have described. And the only remedy is a decent dose of thyroid hormone replacement.
In many countries if TSH is over 3 we would be prescribed levo.
If in the UK, the guidelines state that we should be prescribed until the TSH level is 10, which is a ridiculous situation if they don't also take all our other symptoms into consideration. Some doctors, thank goodness, will prescribe above the range (usually around 5) with symptoms.
Always get a print-out of your blood test results for your own records and post if you have a query and make sure the ranges are shown, as labs differ throughout the UK. Your T4 and T3 may be in the 'normal' range but they could be low normal when, in fact, if we are hypo we need these to be towards the upper level.
You also have to have checked B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate as deficiences can also cause problems. Low B12 is serious.
A prerequisite to figuring this out is for you to have all of the 6 tests recommended by thyroid advocates: TSH FT3 FT4 rT3 TPOAb TGAb. "Normal" is not helpful. If your FT3 and FT4 really are good, then there is a possibility you have non-primary hypothyroidism, often called "central hypothyroidism".
Just my opinion but you might want to check on to see if you have diabetes.
My results, when TSH plus thyroid hormones were tested were similar to yours. My FT3 and Ft4 were "normal" but the TSH was elevated at 5.5. This is considered by most doctors, to be "sub-clinical hypothyroidism" since many TSH reference ranges consider anything under TSH 5.0 to be "normal". The American Endocrinologists Association now says that TSH should not go above 3.0! Many doctors put the limit lower at 2.5. Some doctors say that the limit should be closer to 1.0 or even lower! My so called "sub-clinical" Hypo thyroidism made me suffer all the usual symptoms and more. One test doctors should do but often don't, is the thyroid antibodies test. That can pick up autoimmune thyroid problems LONG before they show up on TSH and thyroid hormone tests!
