I cured my awful stomach and ibs with pre and probiotics, it has been gong on for a long time, though some talk as it is a new idea. Plenty of books about it but nothing like actually helping yourself with it and feeling better for it.

I'm trying to improve a hypothyroid Gut as I now realise I'm not absorbing the minerals and vitamins I need especially the water based B and C vitamins. Glad to hear you've had success.

Thanks for that link, will have a look. It is far easier than a lot of naturopaths etc would have you believe, beause they want to make money out of getting you to keep going to see them and paying for things from them. I did it on my own with research, commonsense, patience and a plan I stuck to.

I take a probiotic pill (after reading rave revues about them). I can't say that anything spectacular happened, it makes me poop a bit more and that can't be bad!

Sorry, not a very inspiring post, but it might help if you are constipated.

Hello LAHs,

thanks for taking the time to respond. I'm taking also taking Saccharomyces boulardii morning and evening and altering the probiotic species. Along with at least 1.0+ litres of filtered water thankfully like yourself that's having the desired effect on my hypothyroid gut.

What interested me to learn from one of the speakers in the micro biome summit above was that bacteria that can synthesise Vitamin C have been identified! I also ensure I'm taking Bifido sp. bacteria as they seem to help diminish joint inflammation.
