Gosh that sounds a great deal for a starter dose - sorry I am not an expert . Others will comment. Do you have any more information for us ?

My levels are really high due to thyroid and menopause and to top it off I have around 8 fibroids in my uterus which is saping all my hormone that I have left....medical mystery I am lol......Hopefully will start to feel better soon....just waiting for a gyne appointment to have surgery and then review my levels again.

Sorry - which levels are high - the TSH - FT4 - FT3 or the Anti-bodies ?

Fibroids are often linked to being Hypo - so I would wait on the surgery to see what happens.

TSH level was 46.50 and FT4 level was 7.7...... I'm trying to understand all of this at the moment. O am also menopausal so my hormones are not normal.

Ah - that possibly explains why you are on such a high dose of T4. You must have felt really poorly. Hope you can soon lower the levels and begin to feel well....

Can we just double check that FT4 result please?

100mcg is a proper starting dose if you're under 60 and don't have heart disease.

I am under 60, I'm actually 45 and don't have heart disease.

Sure about that FT4?

Seems very high but without the range given in brackets cannot know. Different labs have different machines and different ranges. My TSH was 102, T4 was 1.9 ( 11-22 )

Hi There, just read my results again.......my mistake...i don't understand levels ect!!

But what are the ranges? Shown in brackets .

On the face of it yourvB12 is low but the range would help.

Not what you're looking for?
