Hello

I have been feeling really ill for the past couple of months. My FT4 is 13.2 & my TSH is 5.5 which I know is considered normal so why do I feel so ill?

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Thank you

Most healthy people have a TSH around 1 and free t4 at the top end of the range. No wonder you feel awful. You must be near the top of the range for TSH - if not over. Can you ask for a trial of levo to see if it helps?

Hi Angel

Thank you for your response

My consultant says I am just above normal & thinks my dosage is right. I'm going to try & half my dosage of Carb & see how I react

Good idea. You didn't say what you were taking. Perhaps you need a different endo. Some apparently do better on block and replace, but I'm not hyper, so I can't comment.
