Adrenal saliva tests - before I do it......

Just wondering about those of you who have done Adrenal saliva tests........ STTM have a link - attached below:-

Before I take the test, I just wondered if anyone followed the above mentioned guidelines?

Apart from meds..... who stopped smoking/vaping/ alcohol/ coffee and tea?

How sure are we - how much the results are skewered by making no changes before the test - are they more true - following our normal lifestyle?

Just a thought....... would appreciate people letting me know what they did before their test.

I have just done an Adrenal Stress Profile (Saliva) test, I did it through Genova Diagnostics, I don't smoke, drink or vaping, I didn't know about any guidelines except to do the tests in the specific times they give you. I am gluten and dairy free and just carried on eating and drinking tea as usual. If I can help some more please ask.

Hello LKA-dot,

I think general tea drinking, etc is fine.

Smoking and coffee is not good for thyroid//adrenal function anyway (don't know about vaping).

All listed sups & meds are those that are strong and would be expected to make a substantial difference, so require stopping prior to adrenal testing anyway ......
