Liquorice is a known adrenal support recommended by Dr P and many other well known doctors. Adrenal health can affect the thyroid function so indirectly liquorice could affect thyroid function.
I drink various herbal teas, mostly peppermint, camomile or ginger. I don't touch green tea as I am sure I've read somewhere that this ought to be avoided.
I have absolutely no idea whatsoever, sa1234, and maybe it is perfectly OK. I'm certainly not saying that you mustn't drink it.
If you google it, there are lots of people who recommend it - but there is also information about it not being so good. Who knows, because I don’t understand all the technical stuff. I really dislike green tea, so remember being grateful for having a good reason not to have to persevere with it (everyone says you get to like it if you keep trying, but I never did).
