Saw my gp today and had a great chat both about Thyroid and my very low iron levels,came out feeling very happy and Levo has been upped by another 25,so now on 75 and will be raised to 100 after next blood results in 6 weeks.Serum free T4 level(pmol/L)18.5

Fairyeyes, Your GP is looking after you well. Most people are comfortable with TSH just above or below 1.0 which is likely to be achieved after your dose increase to 100mcg. FT4 18.5 is good but that will be in part due to the high TSH flogging the thyroid to produce hormone.
If you've been prescribed iron make sure to take it with 500mg-1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and minimise constipation and take it 4 hours away from Levothyroxine.
I am glad you have a GP who is willing to listen and help. I wish I had one. Keep us updated.I am new to thyroid type issues and it helps to see what others are going through.
I feel very lucky to have a great gp and also this site to help me understand what is going on,although i do still find it all confusing,think its my brain fog been really bad.So what should both the levels be?I have read so much on it all but it does not seem to sink in so thank you all so very much for all the info you give me .I have been taking iron for a few years and always with vit c(orange juice)
