Still waiting in hope for the return of my eyebrows, and saw Wunderbrow advertised in the paper yesterday. It's a cosmetic product rather than something that will aid regrowth, but it sounded interesting. Before spending even more money I thought I'd just ask if anyone here has used it and has any advice?

Wunderbrow anyone?
No experience of this but due to losing all of my eyebrows I took the plunge and had them replaced with semi-permanent make-up.
Went for the hair stroke effect so they do look natural. They needed to be redone several times as I managed to get them wet and then accidentally rubbed one. They will need topping up yearly.
Also had eyeliner and very pleased with that too, was rather painful though.
Used a salon in Hampshire and would thoroughly recommend.
Thanks for this - sounds very interesting. So it's not as radical as tattoo, which I'm very nervous of, but lasts for up to a year? What do you actually ask for at a salon to achieve this?
Pink_Bear - tattoo was used for eyebrows before the advent of semi-permanent make-up. The term used is micropigmentation and means that coloured pigments are applied to the dermal layer of the skin. I'll try and upload a pic of mine.
Hair stroke is literally to make it look like individual hairs, it is not a thin line as per the tattoo process.
I'll be honest, it does hurt despite the area being numbed. The therapist discussed with me what I wanted, she has a client with alopecia so is sympathetic to my feeling self-conscious with not a single eyebrow.
My eyebrows were uneven before hypo and this has continued with the treatment. I did not want perfect symmetry as it would have looked unnatural.
It took a lot of time, she was meticulous. It was around £400 including a 4-6 week refresh. A 12-18 month refresh is £200.
Normally I would listen to recommendations but couldn't find anyone who had undertaken this procedure.
Wow, that's quite an undertaking and I'm so glad you feel this worked for you and was worthwhile. I'm going to bear it in mind.
Just to add that I couldn't get it wet for a week, not easy!!
Not having any luck with pics, sorry.
Definitely research a therapist and run if they're too cheap. Good luck.
I haven't used wonderbrow but something similar but doesn't last longer than a day (also if you accidentally rub your eyebrow).
I got the product Sleek Brow Kit from Superdrug - easier and more natural than pencil and I was surprised by its shap. With a little practice you have decent shaped eyebrows with one stroke (takes a little practice) a natural look. It is quite amazing in that the little brush (as long as its lightly loaded) changes the shape of your eyebrow to a more natural you in one stroke after you've had a couple of tries. The above sounds interesting as it longer lasting.

I am not promoting this but I found it very useful, particularly this year one eyebrow disappeared altogether.
This is a Youtube for Wonderbrow.

On the face of it it's quite encouragaing - and I might just have to try it. Reviews on Amazon are very varied - 628 of them - and broadly encouraging, although of course there are some which say it doesn't work at all. I'm quite fair and a few comments say the blond colour comes out looking green! I think I'll hang on for today and see if anyone here has used it.
My eyebrows are disappearing from the 'nose end' so they are not typical under active thyroid brows. I never over plucked when I was younger but it just seems t have happened.
I have tried a 'felt tip' sort of pen in the past. In fact I bought one the other day from MAC but it isn't all that good, I used to use the one from Cosmetics a la Carte which was similar but was very good, I also like Browzings by Benefit - I'm on my third pack so I've used it for a long time - you can get it in some big Boots stores or JL and it is quite good, it stays on but I tend not to rub my brows and I don't go swimming, I think it is very similar to the one that shows has posted.
Like the look of the Wunderbrow though I must check it out.
Thanks - I'll certainly post back if I try it and let you know.
My daughter rubbed organic castor oil on her really over plucked eyebrows and for her, it made a difference. Whether it will for thyroid problems I couldn't say.
My eyebrows have got fairer the older I've got. Had them done where a electric probe tattoo over the top of your eyebrows semi permanent. (Sorry can't think of correct name for this)
Last about 2/3 years, cost about £250 this was about 2 years ago.
Not happy with mine, girl could not get line right so one is out, went back second time but once line is done it needs to wear out so not much improvement.
Coloring is wrong I am blond the colour I would call ginger! I've needed to still pencil over from the day the little scabby bits came off. But because eyebrows are different still not good.
If have this done go to a very experienced person. I went to a young woman who said she could do it right. But obviously not!!
Thanks for writing about your experiences - I agree that it's hard to get the right shade, especially when you're fair. For the moment I'm compromising - using a blond pencil to fill the gaps and coating with Model In A Bottle Long Lasting Eyebrow Sealer, which someone recomended on here a while go. It lasts all day.
I have the same problem and I am fair skinned and silver haired. I use Wonderbrow Light Brown and it is VERY good. I wake up in the morning with eyebrows and it doesn't wash off with soap and water or when swimming - only comes off with cleanser type products. Please don't put it on top of any cream or base - put it on bare, clean skin and leave it to dry before adding further coats and coaxing the fibres into your natural line with the little brush provided. I hope this helps.
