Allergies and Thyroxine Levels

Hi

Does anyone know if allergies affect the thyroxine levels in the body?

I seem to develop hypothyroid symptoms in the summer time and wondered if this was related. I am being tested for allergies at the moment. The pin prick test revealed a mild allergy to house mites and I am waiting for the results from a blood allergy test.

Nadenud, It's not something I've come across but non-thyroidal illness affects thyroid hormone levels so it doesn't seem unreasonable to assume a spring or summer allergy could.

Yes, it would explain the fluctuations that seem to occur. Hard to know for sure.
