My father has had all the symptoms of hypothyroidism for decades. He has always refused to go for help. Now his symptoms are severe but his blood test showed normal thyroid levels. He has been independent and active all his life. His lack of energy, extreme sensitivity to cold etc. has now rendered him unable to look after himself. He will end up in a nursing home if we can't find a way to restore his energy but the doctors think it is just his age. How do we convince them to look seriously at his symptoms when his blood tests don't show a problem?

Can you post your father's recent thyroid results with ranges (the figures in brackets after results) to help members advise.
Please also post ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate results if they've been tested.
