I have a growth on my thyroid which is growing downwards towards my heart. I have a CPAP mask to wear when I sleep which helps to keep my airways clear as the growth is obstructing my airway. I wanted to know if I can get a copy of my CT scan, which I can show my family so they understand better what the problem is. Can anyone help please? Thanks.

You can ask for a copy of the CT scan, the specialist might be happy for you to have it.

Is surgery planned to remove the growth?

Hi yes they are going to operate, but they may have to go in through my chest as well as its so big, which is very worrying. I'm waiting for a date of surgery now.

Hi Lynn, how did the operation go? All OK I would think. My wife has the same, they will have to go in to the chest. Very worrying! Any advice? Thanks
