Do you know exactly what brand you were on before? The words "thyroxine" and "levothyroxine" are often used interchangeably.

Daviespat, there are 3 UK generic Levothyroxine makes currently available, Mercury Pharma 25mcg, 50mg & 100mcg, Actavis (aka Almus) 50mcg & 100mcg and Wockhardt 25mcg. Ask your pharmacist for an alternative to the make you are taking next time you fill your prescription. If they don't have or won't order an alternative ask for your prescription back and take it to a different pharmacy.
