Hi Lilybear
I am unable to answer your question but other members may be able to.
In the meantime there is another dedicated Healthunlocked Forum purely for P.A. and this is the link:
MCV is towards the low end, indicating maybe a lack of iron. If you are short of b12 it can make the cells larger......
Interesting that they never bothered to measure the b 12. B12 injections were debated in the Scottish Parliament and it was decided that they were needed more frequently than every 3 months..... So in Scotland I think they are given every month..... It's a water soluble vitamin, so you apparently can't overdose. You could try some over the counter b12's.? I like the solgar sublingual ones.

Many people need their injections more frequently than every three months but unfortunately much of the medical profession don't agree. There is one theory that people with pernicious anaemia don't store B12 very well and therefore need more frequent injections. The Pernicious Anaemia Society may be able to help you with information to help you get more frequent infections. Someone in the forum that Shaws linked to might be able to help.

My sister has B12 injections and her doctor said that he was going to increase the interval and only give her the injections every 3 months instead of every 2 months. She kicked up such a fuss he backed down.......
