Hello
Does anyone have a view on whether the best tests for thyroid hormones etc. are blood tests or urine tests please? I mean if course the ones we can get done privately.
Thanks

I append a paper which doubts the value of urine T4 measurement to distinguish euthyroidism and hypothyroidism.

Random urine tests in the assessment of thyroid function

Personally I think blood tests are more reliable but of course subject to proper accompanying diagnostic procedures.
Daffers, A lot of members are able to interpret TSH, FT4 and FT3 blood results but I've not seen anyone able to interpret urine results.
