How long should it take for me to notice a difference in how I feel when my Levothyroxine has been increased?

Increase in Levothyroxine
Probably a week or two to notice any difference, depending on how much the increase was. It could take up to 6 weeks to feel the full benefit and possibly longer if there are more complicated problems that need to resolve.
Thank you CarolynB.
Its a shame it takes so long, as I have high spirited, persistent 8 and 5 year olds and its the school holidays!!
I have been told to have bloods taken again in 3 months, so will have to wait that long before being increased again if Im still feeling awful.
On increasing my levo I went back to GP after 5 weeks as I felt no better, soon after I started feeling better so full 6-8 weeks for full effect for me.
Thank you pinklady756, I will have to be patient!! I havent felt this bad with symptoms for a couple of years
I was diagnosed 18 months ago and when levels were right I felt fine for about 9 months. Then symptoms came back with a vegenance, TSH had risen slightly & GP reluctantly let me increase levo 25mcg and it's taken a while but it did improve. I had private blood tests done and discovered I have anti-bodies & low B12 although technically in range, so have been taking supplements and have cut out gluten which has all helped tremendously! Fingers crossed you are feeling better soon.
